New York, August 8th, 2019— Indie Beauty Media Group (IBMG) is pleased to announce the launch of the Week Of Independent Beauty, a series of satellite events and special promotions, both digital and in-store, occurring throughout the week of August 19th - 23rd, the same week as BeautyX Capital Summit, Indie Beauty Expo (IBE) and Uplink Live.
An array of retailers, including CAP Beauty, Cedra Pharmacy, The Detox Market, Follain, Higherdose and Verishop, among others, are partnering with IBMG to celebrate independent innovation. This initiative directly supports IBMG’s core mission to build and strengthen the links between retailers and brands. The initiative will also aim to promote and bolster the sales of local NYC businesses.
The Week Of Independent Beauty will also benefit local non-profits, Share Your Beauty, The Shoebox Project and City Girl Beauty Project, by collecting unused beauty products and donating a portion of the week’s sales to these organizations.

So we wanted to partner with like-minded local businesses and offer our exhibitors, attendees and everyday beauty lovers more opportunities for discovery and experience.”

IBMG will also be launching onTUWI (Team-Up With Indie) giving everyday beauty lovers the chance to discover and buy from a highly curated and vetted list of brands showcased at the Indie Beauty Expo (IBE). OnTUWI shoppers will have the same opportunity as professional beauty buyers to access the latest innovations indie brands are bringing to the market.
Over 30 hand-selected micro beauty and lifestyle influencers have curated digital boutiques from a selection of product nominated by the editorial team at Beauty Independent, based on criteria such as new launches, superstar skus and trend-focused categories. The website and boutiques will go live day one of IBE New York (Aug. 21) and will only be available for consumers to shop for 60 days.
